Cavalleria Rusticana

The dramatic story in the opera "Village Honour" is presented in the authentic Sicilian atmosphere, the costumes are historically true to the time in which the action takes place - the end of the 19th century. Salvatore Russo, the master stage and costume designer, incorporates the architectural symbols of Sicily into the stage design, uses the typical household equipment and attributes of the region, and dresses the characters in characteristic costumes with colourful ethnic elements. Director Ignazio Occhipinti consciously sought a different and even more evocative interpretation of the drama full of emotions and southern passions.
