State Opera Stara Zagora and Teatro Lirico-Cagliari from Italy participate equally in the preparatory stage and the realization of the performance. More than 250 costumes, accessories, props and lavish decor for the spectacular production have been sewn in Stara Zagora. The premiere in Italy takes place on 27 September 2019.
The plot of Verdi's early work depicts the devastating invasion of Italy by the Huns, led by their cruel leader Attila. The timeless themes of freedom, patriotism and love are woven into the backdrop of military events. The spread of the Christian faith hints at the coming historical turning point.
Performed in Italian with Bulgarian subtitles.
