The theme of the work is the tragic fate of one of Bulgaria's most beloved poets, Peyo Yavorov, and the complicated love triangle with Laura and Mina that led to a fatal end. The genre of chamber opera provides great opportunities to reveal the complex psychological characteristics of the characters. The text interweaves documentary fragments from the investigative cases with selected original poems by Yavorov, set to music in arias, duets and ensembles. The women's chamber choir, as the Angels, borrows from the tradition of ancient Greek tragedies to act as commentators and direct the unfolding of events. The music contains elements of typical song of the time, and is complemented by some typical early 20th century dance practices that throw up a bridge to contemporary dramatic expression.

Director Ognyan Draganov, in his staging, draws imagery and suggestions from Yavorov's work. In it, reality and fantasy intertwine in the multi-layered life drama of Mina Laura and of Yavorov himself.

Composer Lyubomir Denev draws inspiration from the play The Hour of the Blue Mist by Boyko Iliev. In his opinion, contemporary opera should be highly theatrical - with actor's singing, recitatives in which the modern way of sound production is woven.
