The content of the work presents the death of Greek geology student Costas Georgakis on September 19, 1970, in protest against the military dictatorship in Greece. "Flames in the Sails of Night is a psychological drama that enters the genre of historical-political opera-oratorio. It presents the revolt of the individual against the arbitrariness of power.
