Vasil Petrov with Christmas Tour - Singing Christmas

Stara Zagora State Opera presents his new project "A Swinging Christmas"

Jazz legend Vasil Petrov will present a new Christmas concert program in several cities. Together with the Stara Zagora State Opera Symphony Orchestra and Choir conducted by Vladimir Boshnakov, Vasil Petrov will perform some of the most beautiful Christmas classics and recreate the warmth and togetherness we associate with the Nativity. They will be joined on stage by the Jordan Tonovsky Jazz Trio (Jordan Tonovsky-piano, Christian Zhelev-percussion, Hristo Minchev-contrabass) and jazz singer Vesela Morova.

The project "Singing Christmas" with Vasil Petrov will be presented in Stara Zagora on 18 and 19 December at 7:00 pm on the stage of the Stara Zagora Opera House, on 20 December in Smolyan at 6:00 pm in the Rhodope Drama Theatre, on 21 December in Haskovo at 6:00 pm in the Zarya Community Centre and on 27 December in Vratsa, together with Symphonieta-Vratsa at 7:00 pm in the City Concert Hall.

Each of the Christmas songs in the program are supported by Vasil Petrov's different interpretation with unexpected musical nuances. The fun Christmas tunes are developed into swing and jazz arrangements, touching ballads and beautiful waltzes.

The program includes the popular hits "Rudolf the Red nosed Reindeer", " White Christmas" , "Let it snow", " Santa Clause is coming to town", "Blue Christmas", "Jingle Bells", Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas" , "Ave Maria" , Winter Wonderland" , "The Christmas songs" and original Christmas songs by Vasil Petrov.
