Dear ladies and gentlemen!
Today is April 29 - International Dance Day! I congratulate my dear ballet dancers, all my colleagues from Bulgaria and the world! All those who have dedicated their lives to Dance! I have always celebrated this day on the stage with my participation in a ballet performance, a ballet premiere or a Ballet Gala... As a prima ballerina, as a choreographer, as a rehearser and now as a Ballet Director.
And this season, today, we were to have the premiere of the exquisite, brilliant "Sleeping Beauty" set to music by P. I Tchaikovsky, choreographed by M. И. Petipa. I invited Andrei Bosov, a prominent Russian dancer, choreographer, and teacher from St. Petersburg, to direct. In fact, the performance was ready as choreographic material. The next day a state of emergency was declared because of Covid 19!
The quarantine distanced us from the premiere, from our daily excercise, rehearsals, from the stage and our performances... They are for us like air and water, like the track for the athlete, the pool for the swimmer, the stadium for the football player....... But now we are in a pandemic and we are all together because our health is one... Let us be disciplined, humble, tolerant and virtuous. Let us accumulate merit, see ourselves and tap into our full creative potential.
We (Ballet) cannot live under water, we do not have the strength of the elephant, the majesty of the lion, we do not fly like the birds, but we can teach, perform, instill beauty, inspiration, aspiration and Flight towards humanity, perfection, renewal!!! Be well! See you soon!
WITH LOVE AND RESPECT! WITH LOVE AND LOVE AND LOVE AND LOVE AND LOVE
