Santa Claus comes to the Opera House with "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs"
The Christmas and New Year holidays are approaching. Time for wishes, new hopes and lots of presents. Stara Zagora State Opera joins the holiday euphoria with joy and continues to try to make wishes come true.
The ballet of the State Opera Stara Zagora together with the children from the Children's and Youth Opera and Ballet Studio "Daisies" will present "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" by Alexander Yossifov on the eve of the Christmas holidays. The fairytale ballet based on the Brothers Grimm's fairytale of the same name will come to life on the stage of the Stara Zagora State Opera on December 20 and 21 at 7 pm.
The lively music of the ballet "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" is by the composer prof. Alexander Yosifov, who has written numerous musicals for children based on the plots of the most popular and beloved fairy tales. The choreography is by the prima ballerina and artistic director of the Ballet of the State Opera-Stara Zagora Sylvia Tomova. The scenery and costumes are provided by State Opera-Ruse. The bright costumes, based on the Walt Disney concept, are by Parvoleta Chavdarova-Letitia and the set design is by Ivan Tokadzhiev.
Colourful paintings in combination with a variety of dance techniques and with a lot of mood tell the fairy tale beloved by young and old. Choreographer Silvia Tomova uses virtuoso theatrical and dance techniques - she adds a unique sensuality and lyricism typical of her choreographic style and enhances the contrast in the depiction of the colourful fairy tale characters with a dose of humour and irony, bordering on the grotesque.
On 20 December, Anelia Dimitrova and Fiordi Loha will be Snow White and her beloved Prince, and on 21 December Nanako Imayi and Francesco Boriello will dance in these roles /for the first time/. The roles of the Queen will be played by Romina Slavova, the Witch will be played by Haruka Suga, Alexander Zhelev - the servant Pezi, the Huntsman - Stanko Tanev.
Santa Claus awaits the children on stage
