"Where is our natural human essence lost if the models we imitate deform our own face? The play "The Misunderstood Civilization" by Dobri Voynikov leaves open the frame of the great social mirror, in which the previous generations, but also the contemporary generations have peered. Many of the themes - the lack of taste, the deformed value system, the hidden national complexes and the falsity in communication are present here too, but with humour, irony and subtle sarcasm. The new stage version based on this classic text is directed by Nikolay Gunderov, known to the audience for his genuine handwriting in the genre of comedy. Musical quotes from iconic songs will be woven into the upcoming premiere, and the audience will witness a magnificent cast, spiced up with a large number of extravagant costumes.
