The unique performance of the opera "Lucia di Lammermoor" with an international soloist ensemble - a joint production of State Opera Stara Zagora and Darina Takova Foundation
Donizetti's bel canto masterpiece "Lucia di Lammermoor" will delight opera lovers once again on 25 March at 19.00 on the stage of the Stara Zagora Opera House. The premiere performance, which was presented in December last year and put a memorable final chord to the Festival of Opera and Ballet Art in Stara Zagora, amazed the music lovers and numerous guests from home and abroad with its impressive directorial interpretation, magnificent soloist cast, glamorous historical costumes and modern vision of the stage and spatial design. It was then that the idea of a joint project between the Darina Takova Foundation and the Stara Zagora State Opera was born, in which talented young opera singers - graduate students of the Foundation - would make their debuts in the performance of Lucia di Lammermoor and guest soloists chosen by the opera prima Darina Takova.
On 25 March the Stara Zagora audience will see Mila Mihova for the first time in the role of Lucia di Lammermoor, Italian baritone Luca Bruno will perform as her brother Enrique Ashton, and Mexican tenor Rodrigo Trosino will take on the role of Lucia's long-suffering and imaginary love Edgardo. The bass Stefan Dimitrov will recreate the role of Raimondo, Alexander Baranov will guest in the role of Arturo, Nelly Necheva will be seen in the role of Alice. Soloists, orchestra and choir of the State Opera-Stara Zagora, Prabulgarian Survival School "Baga-Tur", Children's and Youth Opera and Ballet Studio "Daisies" will also take part.
The performance of the opera "Lucia di Lammermoor" will be conducted by Ivaylo Krinchev. Directed by Ognyan Draganov, set design by Dimo Kostadinov, costume design by Salvatore Russo /Italy/. Conductor of the choir Mladen Stanev.
