State Opera Stara Zagora will present on November 13 at 11.00 its latest fairy-tale opera "Pinocchio" by Alexander Yossifov. The story of the adventures of the beloved of generations of viewers will come to life amid lavish sets and in beautiful costumes, which are entirely the work of the young and talented director, set designer and costume designer Denis Ivanov. His directorial narrative is aimed not only at the youngest viewers, but also at all adults who are no strangers to the timeless themes of forgotten universal human values.

Carlo Collodi's character Pinocchio celebrates his 145th birthday. And exactly 20 years ago, the great Bulgarian composer Alexander Yosifov wrote his opera for children, The Wonderful Adventures of Pinocchio in the Unknown City. The premiere took place on May 7, 1997 right here - on the stage of the State Opera - Stara Zagora and it was the first production in the country. This year prof. Alexander Yosifov celebrates his 75th anniversary.

The State Opera Stara Zagora is deliberately enriching its poster with programmes and performances for children. In October, the performance "Do Re Mi in Diapers" was created for the youngest ones, and now we are about to meet an opera for children on a big stage. The melodic music, memorable character dialogue, entertaining plot and wise messages define the longevity of the work for a reason. "Pinocchio inspires the entire team of creators and actors, who look forward to welcoming their most loyal and sincere fans to the Grand Opera House on November 13. Soloists and choir of the State Opera - Stara Zagora, students of the NUMSI "Hristina Morfova" take part in the performance. Directed, set designer, costume designer and choreographer Denis Ivanov. Conductor Mladen Stanev. Piano accompaniment Polina Vlahova.
