Argentine conductor Mario de Rosset conducts "Tosca"

The Argentine conductor Mario de Rosset conducts the premiere of the opera Tosca on 18 March in Stara Zagora

The favourite conductor of the Argentine tenor Jose Cura - Mario de Rosse is for the first time in Stara Zagora at the invitation of the director of the Stara Zagora Opera Ognyan Draganov. The charismatic Maestro will conduct the premiere of the opera Tosca by Puccini on 18 March at 19.00 on the stage of the Stara Zagora Opera.

The conductor Mario de Rosset has been rehearsing hard with the company for several days and is impressed by the positive creative atmosphere, the orchestra, the choir and the soloists. In spite of the short rehearsal period, he is pleased that he has been able to establish his close rapport with the musicians: "I demand from them and they 'answer' me immediately. It is not difficult for us to get along. The choir is young, wonderfully prepared - it is obviously well directed by the choirmaster Mladen Stanev, and I can only say good things about the soloists - Tanya Ivanova is a wonderful singer, the baritone Alexander Krunev is magnificent, and Kaludi Kaludov is a class act, a very great singer. It is a real pleasure to work with such a soloist! There is never enough time for preparation, but I am expecting a strong and very emotional performance!"- says the conductor.
